Local Australian charity Walking Tall put the call out on social media to help one of their homeless clients to replace their worn footwear.
Through our friends at the Australian Podiatry Association, we heard about the situation and kindly donated a new pair of Ascent sliders to replace the ladies' old slip-on shoes.
Founded by Qld Orthotics & Podiatry's Andrew Barlow (pictured below), Walking Tall reaches out to the community for partially worn shoes or footwear that no longer fit.
This charity provides the homeless with free-of-charge podiatry services to help ensure they have the essential footwear they need to get them back on their feet.
Shoe companies, retailers and community members regularly donate their footwear to the charity's donation bins located at various Queensland podiatry clinics.
If you have footwear in good condition that no longer fit, drop by one of the donation locations and pop them in the Walking Tall donation bins.
