Back To School Checklist

by Ascent Mum @lisarenae23

Before back to school starts we like to get organised.

This year is no different and we want to make sure that we tick off our checklist:

#1 SCHOOL SHOES

We get the kids' feet measured and buy them Ascent school shoes.

Not only do their shoes look good, but they’re comfortable and great for playing sports in too!

Even better, we’ve never had to replace them before the kids grow out of them.

#2 SCHOOL BAGS

Lots of lugging around heavy books and laptops requires a durable bag, so we like to find bags that will last throughout the year.

#3 DRINK BOTTLES & LUNCH BOXES

We find it best to get a drink bottle and lunch box that will help to keep their water and food cool.

Built in cold-packs are the way to go here.

#4 SCHOOL SUPPLIES

We usually order online and then have our kids write their name on all of their items. This helps to keep things organised both before and after school.

#5 SCHOOL UNIFORMS

First, check to see if any of the kids require larger clothes or need to be replaced.

Always get new socks, since they’re the first things to wear out!

These are just some of the ways we get organised before heading back to school for the new school year.

I find that having these top five things sorted beforehand help relieve much of the stress on the first day of school.
