Shoes Designed For Diabetics

Jul 29, 2021

Complications of diabetes can range from the loss of nerve endings to damage to blood vessels in the feet. Having supportive, cushioned shoes is just a way of life to help prevent diabetes-related lower limb injuries.

Different sized shoes may also be required to fit the foot properly. Our IIFit (two-fit) Range accommodates different sized feet or the need to purchase only one shoe.

Superior Support

At work, you want to reduce the risk of foot injuries with a pair of supportive footwear that will keep your feet secure and in place.

Arch support, a sturdy heel counter, and moulded heel cup will help reduce over-pronation and risk of diabetes-related foot injuries.

Soft Cushioning

The cushioning should evenly distribute your weight to avoid unnecessary pain points on your foot.

Removable innersoles or extra shoe depth for orthotics also allows your shoes to be customisable to your needs.

Many of our shoes have multiple layers of cushioning, some of which can be removed to allow for extra foot width space.

Endorsed by Medical Professionals

We work closely with a range of medical professionals including podiatrists, physios, amputees and diabetic associations to design our IIFit Range and ensure our shoes provide medical benefits to our customers.

If you're ever unsure as to which Ascent shoe best fits you, see one of our affiliated medical providers for a professional assessment and footwear recommendation.

Now Get Walking!

With comfortable and reliable footwear now on your feet as a diabetic, you can confidently get out and about to help lower blood sugar levels and improve circulation to your lower limbs.

The Sustain White/Teal or Explore Forest Mint are great options designed for walking from our IIFit Range.

If you don't need two different sized shoes, our whole range of footwear is suitable for diabetics and many other foot-related issues.
